Houston, TX – A scintillating evening of pulsating native music, exotic African beauty and indigenous high fashion will mark the presentation of fifteen coveted and prestigious NFB awards to deserving recipients of Nigerian heritage who have made their mark in the fashion and beauty industries. Additionally, four Nigerian women will be recognized as NFB Lifetime fashion icons.
The Nigeria Fashion & Beauty (NFB) Awards is an annual event that celebrates the best and most innovative of Nigeria’s vast aesthetic offerings with performances by celebrities, appearances by socialites, and attendance by fashionistas. The event includes cultural displays, fashion shows, traditional dancers and the famous after-party that lasts till dawn. Areas of Award recognition are in clothing design, accessory design, style analysis, fabric manufacture and merchandising, modeling and model management, beauty product sales and manufacturing, as well as in fashion/beauty promotion and patronage.
With stringent nomination criteria, the NFB Awards are presented only to Nigerians in Diaspora (resident outside Nigeria) who have distinguished themselves in their respective categories.
This complimentary, invitation-only event will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the All Saints’ Church Community Banquet Hall, 13043 Renn rd, Houston, TX 77083. Start time will be 10:00PM CST.
