DALLAS – The Executive Vice President of Arik Air New York; Mr. Robert Brunner proudly presented the promised round trip ticket for two to the winner of the Raffle draw grand prize, Miss Raliat Akinlolu. The presentation marked the climax of the Trendy Africa Mothers Appreciation event which was characterized by non stop fun and gift presentations.
Arik Air is a leading commercial airline that operates non stop flights between New York and Lagos as well as several other African countries. Arik Air as the major corporate sponsor of TAMMAE 2011 donated two round trip flight tickets as grand prize for the winner of the raffle draw at the event.
Nandi’s banquet hall and event center was the choice venue for TAMMAE 2011. It’s central location at 9205 Skillman street Dallas as well as upscale exquisite amenities added great panache to the classic success of the maiden edition of TAMMAE. Awards were also presented to Women in the community; Sarah Cass, Marla Lee, Funke Oke, Nia MacKay and Gabretta Uke, in recognition of various contributions made to their individual communities.
Other prizes included hi quality Italian shoe and bags (T&K Fashion), Costume Jewelry specifically designed for TAMMAE by Bose Trendy Beads, Royalty fragrance by Super Model Tammie Garr, Quality Lace materials and Head Wraps by Toplen Fashion.
The premiere of the first ever ‘GELE” pageant; “LE FEMME GELE EXTRAORDINAIRE” also formed part of the special highlights at the event with Oyin Adu emerging the premiere winner. Songstress Ebony D’EVA was on hand to honor mothers with sonorous tunes. Finger foods and tasty canapes was supplied by the ultimate “Taste of Africa and America cuisine”.
African fashion from the stable of “Ignite yr Style” and “Honeydrop Images” ignited the environment. The event commenced with an energetic dance drama performed by Baba Kwasi and the Ayuba Kamau kings and queens just as hilarious jokes delivered by Mr. Michael Cole kept guests giggling.
Awardees and guests participated in the cutting of a special mothers day cake designed and produced by Royal Balloons and decorations. The after party and unwinding spot was the rave of the moment; Aggie’s restaurant and lounge which is a walking distance from the venue. TAMMAE benefits “Grace for Victims” charity.
