TEXAS – The bright evening sun reflected off the Oakmont Country Club lake in Corinth, permeating through the large windows into the exquisitely decorated venue of the traditional wedding between Ladi Mallam and Harris Oshiokpekhai. Family and friends gathered to witness the fulfilment of tradition with the exchange of gifts and the official handover of the bride to the grooms family.
The young and smashing couple looked radiant decked out in African attires complemented by coral beads and other ornaments. Parents of the bride and groom; Dr. and Dr. (Mrs.) U. Mallam and Mr. and Mrs. Lasarian Oshiokpekhai led family members on the dance floor to show love and appreciation to the newly wed. Calvary Church in Irving is visually imposing and was the the perfect venue for the nuptial. The ceremony was brisk but captivating just as guests headed up to the Diamond Oaks Country club for the reception. Good setting, music and great people made it a memorable evening as stated by the groom during the vote of thanks.
