A Colorful Fall Schedule for NBC

There’s action, comedy, romance and reality with a few new dramas and a couple of unscripted series. NBC Networks is set to premiere several new shows starring actors Anthony Anderson, Tempestt Bledsoe, Eamonn Walker and Terry Crews for their fall lineup.

Anderson, who first gained attention as one of Jim Carrey’s sons in “Me, Myself, and Irene” will star as Gary, a doting stay-at-home dad of four, in the new comedy “Guys with Kids.”

From Emmy-winner and executive producer Jimmy Fallon, the show premieres on September 26th on NBC and follows three thirty something dads who try to hold on to their youth as they face the responsibilities of having kids.

“It shows a positive African-American family on network television loving one another and raising their children,” shares Anderson. “My character is a stay at home dad by choice and not by any other reason.”

Tempestt Bledsoe (“The Cosby Show”) makes her return to the television circuit as his wife Marny. For Bledsoe, who has enjoyed success in the entertainment business since the age of four, it’s a dream come true to be back at NBC, the former network that aired “The Cosby Show.”

“This network sets the stage often,” says Bledsoe. “It is the first one out of the box on so many different things and they take a chance and a risk in trying new adventures. It’s a dream job to be back at NBC.”

In the action drama “Chicago Fire” created by Dick Wolf, Eamonn Walker stars as Battalion Chief Wallace Boden, a fireman’s fireman who is confronted by important personal decisions.  A drama which offers a view into the lives of firefighters, Walker, who is best-known for his portrayal of Kareem Said, the Muslim leader on the HBO series “Oz” cites the writing as his attraction to the series.

“It was the best script I read at the time and I haven’t read anything good for a long time.”

A television veteran, Walker’s numerous television credits include the NBC series “Kings,” the Jerry Bruckheimer series “Justice,” “The Whole Truth,” and the BBC drama “Bonekickers.” “Chicago Fire” airs October 10th on NBC.
