The 60th birthday event for Elder Raheem and Elder Mrs. Gwen Seriki commenced appropriately with a thanksgiving church service at the Pathway Christian Fellowship Center, Dallas. During the sermon, Prophet (Dr.) Emmanuel Akinyemi reminded the celebrants that they had come of age even though physically, they looked much younger. He mentioned that it’s by the grace of God that we live to celebrate such milestones in our lives; quoting Proverbs 9:11 “for by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased”.
Pastor Taiwo Oyeniya of RCCG described the celebrants as mentors with a large heart just before he led the prayers for the family. The day’s event continued with a grand reception at the C and C ballroom in Garland, Texas were guests including family, friends and well-wishers gathered for great entertainment. Notable Dallas social clubs arrived in grand style to support the celebrants. They include; Unique Ladies International and Eko Club.
