President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle welcomed David and Samantha Cameron to the White House with full military and ceremonial honors on the south lawn of the presidential mansion recently. President Obama hailed the relationship between Britain and the US as one of the “greatest alliances the world has ever known”.
Prime Minister Cameron of the U.K thanked President Obama for the great reception and especially mentioned the trip to Ohio where the two world leaders sat through a game of basketball.
Obama and Cameron also held talks and one-on-one discussions at the Oval Office, and later gave a joint press conference.
A state dinner in honor of the British Prime Minister and his delegation later held at the White House. The dinner was designed to symbolize the friendship between the two men and enduring friendship and alliance between their two countries.
