Ogbuefi Priscilla Nwadiaro at 80

As an Octogenarian, Obuefi Priscilla Okwunwa Nwadiaro presented herself as an alert, astute and humble celebrant just as her children and several other family members gathered in Raleigh, North Carolina at a befitting birthday celebration. She arrived the venue in a gleaming white limousine to the warm embrace of her grandchildren who handed her roses on a red carpet. The celebrant danced triumphantly into the venue accompanied by her children and several other relatives.

Born in 1934 in Oguta Nigeria, Ogbuefi Priscilla got married in 1953 to Joseph Nwadiaro and had eight children before the passing of her husband in 1997. During the civil war in Nigeria, she was a member of a group that protected Women and children from any harm by the enemy. She eventually became a successful business woman and specialized in wholesale distribution of produce all over eastern Nigeria. The birthday event attracted guests from distant locations including Canada and Nigeria.
