It’s a Tie! 2Face Idibia and D’Banj Share Best International Act Award

Los Angeles – For BET’s International Act Award (Africa), it was simply too close to call. Africa’s top artists; 2Face Idibia and D’Banj, beat out D-Black, Angelique Kidjo and Teargas tying for the Best International Act.

Other winners included Nicki Minaj who received the award for best female hip-hop artist, Idris Elba for Best Actor and Chris Brown who took home four awards during the live telecast from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

The YoungStars Award was also a tie for brother and sister Jaden and Willow Smith, children of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, who both received the YoungStars Award.


The night also featured performances from Beyonce, Mary J Blige and Anita Baker, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jill Scott and Trey Songz and Donnie McClurkin, Mary Mary and Centric award winner Marsha Ambrosius.

Comedian Kevin Hart hosted the award show, which aired live on BET.
