Top Delta State Government officials, members of the Fashion and Textile Industry in Delta State, members of Fashion Designers and Exhibitors association and fashion Enthusiasts gathered at the Best Western Hotel Asaba to witness the inauguration of the Delta Fashion Designer (DFD). The Convener; The Delta Fashion Designer (DFD) and Founder/National President Fashion Designers & Exhibitors Association (FADEA), Mrs. Oreva Okowa (CEO Signature Secret) expressed her delight at the overwhelming support and turnout of guests at the event.
Delta State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry; Barrister (Mrs.) Mary Iyasere represented the Executive Governor Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, as the Chief Launcher of The Delta Fashion Designer. Other dignitaries at the event included; Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters; Chief Festus Ochonogor, Chief Mrs. Nkem Okwuofor; Head of Service who represented the Wife of the Executive Governor, Commissioner for Lands & Survey; Barr. Dan Okenyi, Commissioner for Housing; Arc. Joseph Ajiri Ogeh, Commissioner for water resources; Mr. Fidelis Tilije, and Commissioner for Information; Barr. Patrick Ukah.
Others include; Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Omosola Williams, Commissioner for Environment; John Nanny, Commissioner for Energy; Mr. Newworld Safugha, Commissioner for Special Duties, Governor’s Office; Dr. Henry Sakpra, Commissioner for rural development, Chief Job Creation Officer of Delta State; Prof. Eric Ebo and the Executive Sec. on Delta State Small Micro Medium Enterprise Development Agency.
The day’s activities also featured a cocktail and fashion show hosted by Signature Secret Fashion School Old Students Association where certificates where issued to new graduates by Mrs. Oreva Okowa to the2015/2016 new graduates. During the Fashion show, Mrs. Oreva Okowa presented her10 year old daughter Olivia Okowa as CEO of Secret Kids Academy. She was also the youngest designer of the event.
DFD is an initiative of Fashion Designer & Exhibitors Association (FADEA) The Delta Fashion Designer has as its motto; ‘Creativity at its best’.
