Audiences will witness the world premiere of Kareem B. Goodwin’s “Building the Beat,” a fearless exploration of how we forge community and connection in an increasingly isolated world. This groundbreaking work addresses one of society’s most pressing challenges through innovative choreography and powerful storytelling.

IN BLOOM also features two beloved audience favorites: Allyne D. Gartrell’s (Founder & Creative Director of the Atlanta Dance Connection) “My Inspiration,” a loving celebration of graceful, elegant, and vibrant legacies, and Christopher L. Huggins’ (Award-Winning Choreographer & Former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre soloist) acclaimed and transformative “Night Run.” Together, these works create an unforgettable evening that celebrates both tradition and innovation.

“This program represents the pinnacle of our artistic season and everything we strive to achieve as an organization – honoring our artistic heritage while boldly moving the art form forward,” said Richard A. Freeman, Jr., Interim Artistic Director. “We’ve intentionally saved the world premiere of ‘Building the Beat’ for our season finale, as this powerful work speaks directly to our contemporary experience and provides a fitting crescendo to our artistic journey this year.”
