2Face emerges Top African Male Singer on Trendy Polls

Dallas, TX – Still savoring the victory of the BET Awards International Act nomination, 2Face Idibia has emerged the winner of the third in the series of “Trendy Polls”, a Trendy Africa initiative designed to increase the interactive potentials of its ever growing viewers.

2Face scored 160 votes out of a total of 416 to beat D’banj; 138 votes, 9ice; 69 votes, Darey; 26 votes and Banky W; 23 votes. Winner of the first ever “Best African Act category at the MTV Europe Music Awards (2005) and the MTV Africa Best R&B Artist (2009) , 2Face is at the forefront of Africa’s music scene.

2Face has performed alongside artists including, Ludacris, Beenie Man and Akon; and collaborated musically with Wyclef Jean, R Kelly and Naz.  He recently performed during the closing ceremonies of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. 

Trendy Africa Media launched its Poll segment in 2005 with the ever popular “Trendy headgear Polls” which featured various head wrap styles and a constant flow of voters. The new Poll format is however an ultra modern upgrade managed by poll daddy.com and does not allow for repeat voters thus making it authentic.

“Trendy polls” is scheduled to run periodically with unique poll titles and would serve as a build up to the planned TEA Awards coming soon. Winners are featured on the website and are entitled to free profiles in Trendy Africa Magazine. The current Trendy poll features “Most daring Ghanaian Actress”.
