2017 Valentine Be A Blessing Day
In its fifth edition, ‘Be A Blessing Day’ event benefited Hope’s Door; a charity that specializes in comprehensive intervention and prevention services for everyone affected by intimate partner and family violence, from victim to abuser. About 200 Volunteers gathered at the Tre Wilcox Cooking Concepts place in Plano Texas where they packaged items for Hope’s Door beneficiaries.
Founder of Be A Blessing Day; Jennifer Onwumere of Jen-gerbread Marketing & Events, had earlier explained the importance of showing love to those that genuinely needed some love during Valentines. In previous years, volunteers would visit shelters and hand out goody bags to the homeless. In view of privacy issues with victims of Abuse, Hope’s Door collects all the packed bags and delivers to the victims.
