Trendy attends the Daytime Emmys

Hosted by Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner, the 51st Daytime Emmy Awards were held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles and featured the biggest names in daytime entertainment.

Broadcast live on CBS, the ceremony had a star-studded lineup of presenters and guests that included Christian Cooper (“Extraordinary Birder”), Elia Cantu (“Days of Our Lives”), Kelly Clarkson (“The Kelly Clarkson Show), Jackée Harry (“Days of Our Lives”), Star Jones (“Divorce Court”), Danielle Pinnock (“Ghosts”), Peres Owino (“African Queens: Njinga”) and Harlem Globetrotter Donte Hammer Harrison.

“African Queens: Njinga” won three awards, Dick Van Dyke at 98, became the oldest-ever winner of a Daytime Emmy for his guest performance in “Days of Our Lives, ” and The Kelly Clarkson Show won for best daytime talk series.

In addition, an In Memoriam segment paid tribute to the stars and contributors that were lost this year.

Frazier and Turner previously hosted the Daytime Emmys in 2022 and 2023. The Daytime Emmy Awards have recognized outstanding achievement in television programming and crafts since 1974, honoring work in a variety of categories, including daytime dramas, talk shows, instructional programming, hosting, and legal/courtroom programs.
