Patricia Aduayi met her handsome husband, Prof. Emmanuel Aduayi in 1958 in Sapele when he started working with the Bank of British West Africa. Shortly after they met, Prof had to go study in America. He was away for 8 years but they communicated regularly with letters and the love they had for each other grew despite the distance. Patricia Aduayi got married to her sweetheart and soulmate on September 24, 1966. After their wedding, they lived happily in a one bedroom (room and parlor). During this time, God Blessed them with a boy, Emmanuel (Tosan) and a girl, Desiree.
When Prof turned 80, he said this about his wife “She was born on the 18th day of August 1942. That is a day when God worked nonstop to make my wife beautiful inside and outside. “B”, as I fondly call her, has stood firmly at my side through the journey of life in thick and in thin since we got married over 50 years ago. She never complains and has never disrespected me. We have mutual respect for each other.”
From Kenya the family relocated to Ile-Ife in 1974 where Patricia continued her Nursing career where she retired as a Chief Nursing Officer from the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital in 2002.
While in Ife, Patricia Aduayi knew God and she was also God fearing and became a staunch member of the All Souls Chapel Church. She was a very committed, supporting and active member of the Ushers Guild until her call to Glory. Whenever she visited her children, she actively attended their respective Pentecostal churches with them in the United States and in Lagos State, Nigeria
Patricia Aduayi and Prof. spent the last 22 years of their retirement in unity, love and humility until October 23, 2024, when she was called unto glory. She is blessed with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren
