The 2016 North American International Auto Show at Detroit’s Cobo Center features several all new auto models and innovations from brands including Audi, Ford, Lexus and Lincoln. Show-goers are invited to learn more about Ford Smart Mobility, which is Ford’s plan to use innovation to take Ford to the next level in connectivity, mobility, autonomous vehicles, data and analytics and the customer experience.
The Audi h-tron quattro concept provides a foretaste of the technologies for piloted driving and parking that will go into production in 2017 with the next generation of the Audi A8 full-size sedan. Piloted driving at Audi revolves around the central driver assistance controller (zFAS). It computes a model of the car’s surroundings in real time and makes this information available to the assistance systems and the piloted driving and parking systems.
The Lexus auto show floor space is adorned by an array of exciting models that show elevated levels of emotional styling and deliver dynamic driving characteristics. The all-new LC 500 and the 2016 RX makes its first appearance at the Detroit show, joined by the prestigious LS sedan and LX luxury utility vehicle. The Performance Zone features the all-new GS F as well as the RC F and a showcase of the F SPORT package offerings in the IS, NX and GS models.
