Miss Black is Beautiful Pageant Screens Contestants

Lagos – Organizers of the 2011 Miss Black is Beautiful Pageant in Nigeria recently held a screening exercise for its much anticipated finale. The event organizers; ESTELLEGOLD LTD/MBIB PROMOTIONS INTL and ENTERTAINMENT NETWORK KONZULT have spent several months ensuring that the pageant meets international standards which include transparency and quality.

At the end of the screening exercise and in the presence of; Chioma Onwuka President of MBIB, VP MBIB Willie Workman Oga, Fashion designer Mon Ami, Fashion Icon Nikky Khiran, Glam and Essence Publisher Susan Eyo-Honesty and Nigerian top model Biola Boris, 16 lucky finalists were eventually selected for the grand finale.

The objectives of MBIB are to build a unique branding platform for marketing Nigeria to the world , to create an avenue for Nigerian youths to truly harness their potentials in modeling and fashion globally, to create a platform for Nigerian models and agents to interact with international models and fashion top shots across the globe, to place Nigerian black beauties among the first top 10 super models in the world and to boost Nigeria’s tourism potentials, culture, image and reputation internationally.

It seeks to create super models from our young, black and beautiful women who possess outstanding qualities and elegance within the ages of 18-25. Unlike other pageants, this pageant focuses on the beauty in being black, and produces dark skin supermodels these models will be Nigeria’s export to the world.

The grand finale will hold on the 4th of September 2011 while the contest will produce annually a BLACK BEAUTY who will represent Nigeria. First runners up will represent Nigeria at next year’s MISS WEST AFRICA UK.
