The new MG 550 1.8 compact sedan is designed by MG’s British team and comes with a newly-developed 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine and a 5-speed automatic, MG 550, produces 118 horsepower and 215 lb/ft of torque, on a front-wheel-drive MCPherson Suspension, with Multi-link independent suspension and disc brakes on all four wheels The Standard and Comfort model get 16-inch alloys wheels, while the Deluxe models get 17’ Alloy Wheel, ventilated disc brakes, cruise control, stability control, and two front airbags. The MG 550 car can accelerate from 0-100 kph in 10.2 seconds with fuel economy of 1-100 km on 6.8 litres petrol.

Time tested British Heritage


Safety standards are another key point in the new MG 550. To ensure that it’s up to date as far as regulations are concerned, MG went all the way to give the model plenty of safety features.

There are driver, passenger, and side airbags. There are side intrusion beams on the front and rear doors, ISO-fix child restraint mountings for the rear seats, remote control door locking, a perimetric alarm and immobilizer system, front seat belts with a warning lamp on fascia and audio warning, an alarm with a battery backed up sounder, and Tyre Pressure Monitor (TPM),
