Maltina Dance All Season 6 Hits TV Screens Across Nigeria

LAGOS – After an exciting regional auditions, the much awaited Maltina Dance All Family reality TV show will hits major TV stations across the country and beyond on Sunday September 2, 2012. It will continue on a daily basis until the grand finale which will be held on September 22, 2012. The show, which is in its sixth season, has over the years attracted a cult following among Nigeria’s youths families because of its ability to bring family members together. The show will be beamed on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) 5.30pm, Africa Independent Television (AIT) 9.00pm, Silverbird TV (STV) 8.00pm and Africa Magic (DSTV) 8.00pm.

The sum of N6 million and a brand new car is the star prize for the winner of this years edition. The first and second Runners Up will also get N1million and N500, 000 respectively. The show, according to Mrs Ngozi Nkwoji, senior brand manager, Maltina, the brand is renowned for promoting togetherness with friends and loved ones.

According to Mrs Nkwoji, Maltina Dance All, the foremost experiential and sponsorship platform of the brand was introduced was introduced in 2007. “The family TV show has no doubt remained Nigeria’s first and only family dance TV show featuring families from various regions across the country. From the 2007 edition which produced the Onye family as winners, Maltina Dance All has gone through five successful seasons. In 2008 it was the Opuwari family that carted away the star prize; in 2009 the Ibiams were voted the nation’s best dance family. The Adejoh’s were champions in 2010 while in 2011; the Ekubo’s were crowned the best dance family with the unforgettable swinging moves of Ebi Ekubo and his little sister.”

The show, no doubt, will bring to fore, the Nigerian families’ essence and values of unity, cooperation, vitality and creativity which Maltina is noted for. Nkwoji enjoined all family members to stay glued to their TV screens as this years edition will be packed full of fun, entertainment and timeless lessons for the entire family.

Meanwhile, family members, brand loyalists and consumers in Kaduna and Enugu have commended the brand for the successful completion of the auditions and the commencement of the show on TV. The MDA is the consumer engagement and experiential platform that the brand deploys to resonate with brand loyalists and the society in general.

Grace Emmanuel a participant at the Abuja audition session said the platform gave her the opportunity to showcase her unique dancing skills. “I feel greatly honoured and proud that Maltina has provided me an opportunity to showcase my dancing skill which goes a long way to show that dancing is a profitable venture.”

Cynthia Agbo who vied for an academy slot at the Enugu auditions also commended Maltina for the opportunity. She said she practiced vigorously for three weeks before finally coming on stage to showcase her skill. Cynthia, who said she has followed the show since its inception six years ago, noted that it is an excellent consumer engagement platform that has succeeded in bringing together lovers of Maltina from across the country to meet and know each other better. She stressed that the competition has succeeded in bringing some families together as they practice in their bid to win the star prize.

Green Ibiba who was among the best eight dancers selected from the Port Harcourt audition centres said he has been dreaming of the opportunity to unveil his dancing skill which he has taken time to develop through private lessons. “The Maltina Dance All competition has given me the opportunity to tell the world that I can go places when it comes to dancing, it also goes to show that all the time I spent in practice was never a waste. I thank Maltina for giving me the opportunity and I promise that my family and I will not disappoint them in the house.”

From the Lagos audition centre, Tolu Okeowo a very captivating dancer who drew applause from the audience, said Maltina Dance All has given her the opportunity to show that apart from her academics, she can also showcase her other side, which is dancing. Tolu said she almost made it into the house last year but missed it narrowly, but she is glad that she eventually made it this year. All things being equal, she is optimistic that her family will pass through the remaining part of the interview and make it in to the house.
