Lesotho Crowned Miss University Africa 2012

The Edo state government under the amiable leadership of the people’s governor, His Excellency, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in Partnership with Visions Innovations and Concepts Ltd (The Parent body of Miss University Africa Organization) recently hosted the 3rd Edition, Miss University Africa 2012.

Miss Roriang Molefe from Lesotho was crowned Miss University Africa 2012. The queens visited the Crown King of Edo and the Igbinedion University Okada, Edo state.

19 year old Miss Roriang Molefe representing Lesotho came out tops beating her Nigerian counterpart, Tope Olowoniyan who was Second runner up. Miss Roriang who completed her high school education in 2011 is currently studying Journalism in her university.

Contestants from several African nations participated in a 14 day camp between July 27th and August 10th, 2012 while the grand finale held on the 11th of August at the prestigious Best Western Hotel, in the Ancient city of Benin, Edo state.

Guests included top Government officials from all over Africa, foreign ambassadors, top celebrities and the international media.

The Miss University Africa Pageant” (MUA) which was founded by Taylor Nazzal , is a non-bikini pageant committed to promoting and celebrating the beauty and innate potentials of students on the African continent. It also provides the winner with a platform, through the Miss University Africa Foundation, to discuss issues of vital social importance and find lasting solutions, reach out to the less privileged and provide assistance.

MUA aims to be one of the most recognized and respected pageants in the world and one that unites African students and the wider African community. Hence, MUA’s overall goal is to discover intelligent and beautiful ladies, unlock their innate potentials, unify university students/youths in Africa and promote African culture.
