Lagos City Hall Like Never Before: Kudos to Gov. Fashola

LAGOS – When the grass is green don’t call it red. A zebra can never be a horse. When there is evidence of positive infrastructural development for long term purposes, it calls for an avenue to say “job well done”.

When the news that Lagos City Hall, foremost seat of Local Government Council administration in Lagos State was burnt some years ago, many were devastated.

Fortunately, the state government under Bola Tinubu towards the end of his tenure decided to reconstruct the edifice. However, two years after the contract was awarded not much had been done to bring the city hall to its former glory.

The new look City Hall now has granite marble floor in all its public areas, vitrified floor tiles for offices and corridor, high quality sanitary fittings and replacement of internal and external curtain walls.

Other facilities included central air conditioning, CCTV, four lifts, four generators, central sewage treatment plant, two bore holes while water treatment facilities provided within a well secured site.

Residents said the reconstruction coming at this time was a pointer to the good intention of the Babatunde Fashola led administration.
