Kenyan President William Ruto arrived in Washington, D.C. accompanied by First Lady Rachel Ruto, were received by the First Lady of the U.S Jill Biden at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. President Ruto had earlier visited Atlanta, Georgia where he pitched Kenya as a top investment destination in AFRICA.
While in DC, the President is expected to engage in a series of activities, including a keynote address bordering on climate change and catalyzing opportunities for green industrialization in AFRICA. The President will also meet the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Mike Johnson at the United States Capitol.
President Ruto will also engage the U.S. Senate Leadership led by Majority Leader Charles Schumer and address a Black Caucus at the Library of Congress. President Ruto will be at the White House for the State Visit and dinner.
