LAGOS – Celebrated Artist including D’Banj, Darey and Ikechukwu have cause to celebrate as Nigerian law enforcement agents smashed a ring of record pirates.
The Nigerian Copyright Commission Raided the Akina Plant at 2am Thursday and found Massive Pirated Copies of Dbanj’s, Ikechukwu’s and Darey’s Albums.
Artists are calling for Total Support From Lagos State Govt to Shut Down these Plants and those outlets in Alaba, a popular electronic market.
Darey Art Alade in a statement posted on Facebook expressed the following; “Enough IS Enough! They can’t keep cheating the owners of intellectual property and we can’t let that plant use connections to get off the hook!!!”
