Harry’s back on the big screen: A final two part installment of Harry Potter releases in theaters November 19

Based on the wildly popular children’s books filled with humor, fun and mischief, Harry Potter is a character from a fantasy book written by British author J. K. Rowling, which was first published in 1997. Since then, Rowling’s books have spanned a successful franchise of six movies, and the release of the final film is scheduled to hit theaters in a few weeks.

Breaking from the tradition of the film series, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” the seventh and final adventure in the film series will be told in two full-length parts. Part one is directed by David Yates, who also helmed “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”

Helming his third Harry Potter feature, David Yates says that Part one of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” also breaks tradition by taking the central characters away from the familiar surroundings of Hogwarts. It is actually the first film in the franchise in which the iconic School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is never even seen.” he adds.

Heading the cast in this latest installment is Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, who reprise the roles of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The ensemble cast also includes Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Imelda Staunton and Ralph Fiennes.

With many colorful characters, and lots of imaginative scenes created by advanced technology, the theme of the Harry Potter books is one of an epic struggle between magicians and mythological creatures and this installment continues the adventures of Harry and his curious classmates, who set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the Horcruxes—the keys to Lord Voldemort’s immortality. Harry’s only hope is to find the Horcruxes before Lord Voldemort finds him. But as he searches for clues, he uncovers an old and almost forgotten tale—the legend of the Deathly Hallows. And if the legend turns out to be true, it could give Lord Voldemort the ultimate power he seeks.

Rated PG-13 for some sequences of intense action violence, frightening images and brief sensuality, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures and the series finale (part two) is slated for release next summer.
