Surprises usually come in different sizes and packages, but the 60th birthday surprise reception in honor of Princess Christianah Mofoluwake Okunade ‘Folu’ was one for all ages. Just like a scene out of a blockbuster movie, the celebrant stepped out of the elevator on the 7th floor at the Five Star Banquet Hall, Dallas, to a loud cheer of ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY’.
The surprise birthday reception was orchestrated by Tokunbo Adeyemo, and several close friends of the celebrant. The Diamond Jubilee event attracted family and friends, some of whom arrived from distant cities within the USA and others from across the Atlantic ocean. So pleasant to see was the presence of the celebrants children and grand child, who joined in the joyous occasion.
In typical Dallas fashion, there was an assortment of continental and tradition cuisine, and an array of beverages. Great music and dance added to the success of the evening.
