Brian Tyree Henry tackles movie on Boxing champion Claressa Shields

Called “The Fire Inside,” it’s the inspirational true story of Claressa Shields, arguably the greatest female boxer of all time. A high school Junior from Flint, Michigan, Claressa became the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing but had to battle the injustices that came along with the accolade.

Written and produced by Oscar winner Barry Jenkins, the film stars Ryan Destiny and Brian Tyree Henry who plays her coach Jason Crutchfield. Henry’s previous movies include “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” Widows” and “Causeway.”
