Beyoncé, Chadwick Boseman and Lebron James battle for Entertainer of The Year

It all boils down to one and the voting process has begun to pick your favorite entertainer. The winner will be revealed during the two-hour special airing live of the NAACP Image Awards on TV One, Saturday, March 30 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California. The five nominees range from singer Beyoncé, actors Chadwick Boseman, Regina King, director Ryan Coogler to LeBron James.

The voting is open to the public and can be done by visiting the NAACP Image Awards website and voting closes on March 4 with multiple voting every 24 hours.

Last year director Ava DuVernay took home the entertainer of the year trophy and while on stage, the “A Wrinkle in Time” director used her time to shout out a litany of television shows and movies featuring or made by people of color.

The NAACP Image Awards is the most respected event of its kind and is well attended by many of the top names in the entertainment industry.  In recent years some of the biggest names in film, television and music appeared including Denzel Washington, Oprah, John Legend, Viola Davis, Anthony Anderson, Dwayne Johnson, Gabrielle Union, Kevin Hart, Stevie Wonder, Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith.

The upcoming telecast, the 50th Anniversary of the NAACP Image Awards, will also spotlight the significant contributions of the NAACP and the impact the organization has had on our community and country.
