The President of the Republic of Botswana, His Excellency Mokgweetsi E.K. Masisi visited Dallas Texas recently to attract potential investors particularly in the areas of infrastructure, information and communication technology-ICT, Agriculture, and Health.
The Botswana-Dallas USA Business Forum networking engagement which held at the sprawling Circle T Ranch in Westlake, was attended by Dale Petroskey, the CEO of the Dallas Regional Chamber, Florie Liser, the CEO of the Corporate Council on Africa, Tom Harris with Hillwood Group, and a host of other business leaders in the Dallas region.
Accompanied by members of his cabinet and business leaders, President Masisi took the opportunity of his Dallas visit to meet with the founder and CEO of Axxess, John Olajide, who gave His Excellency a tour of Axxess Dallas headquarters. During the tour, Olajide shared the Axxess guiding principles, The Axxess Way, that has helped make the company so successful.
The visit forms part of Axxess’ mission to improve access to quality healthcare in the home globally by leveraging the power of its technology solutions. Axxess has employees from more than 50 countries, including Botswana, where Creative Director Edem Jimbo once played on the country’s national basketball team.
President Masisi also visited the University of Texas at Dallas – UTD where he met with the school’s president, Dr. Richard Benson, with whom he discussed mutually beneficial issues. Axxess CEO John Olajide is a distinguished alumnus of UTD.
