Accra – The Juliet Ibrahim foundation-JIF which is recognized as the sole kidney cancer and related disease organization in Ghana, took to the streets of Accra on a kidney awareness walk on March 14, 2013.
March 14 is recognized worldwide as ” world kidney day”. This day is set aside to raise awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall health and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney diseases and its associated health problems worldwide.
The walk started from Obra spot, circle and ended in Osu, Ako Adjei park.
JIF seeks to reduce harm caused by kidney cancer and other related diseases by increasing knowledge and awareness, providing patient information and by supporting research into the causes, prevention and treatment of the disease.
