More than 35,000 fans turned out to see Nigeria’s global superstar Burna Boy make his Reggae Land debut as UK’s leading celebration of reggae, dancehall and Caribbean culture returned to Milton Keynes National Bowl.

Known for his energetic performances, Burna Boy brought the deep musical and cultural relationship between Africa and Jamaica into focus with a powerful passionate speech about African pride and perseverance.
Standing in front of a sea of African and Jamaican flags he paid tribute to reggae, highlighting the genre’s influence on him and acknowledging the shared musical DNA and enduring relationship between Africa and Jamaica.
With over 135,000 attendees at the 3-day festival, the event brought together more than 120 artists across seven stages and included Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel and Shenseea who brought the entire Bowl to fever pitch.

Now in its sixth year, Reggae Land is one of the UK’s biggest celebrations of reggae, dancehall and Caribbean music and culture. The festival, which was launched in 2021, has grown into a major fixture of the UK festival calendar and expanded the festival to three days for the first time in its history.
