Columbia Pictures releases trailer for ‘Bad Boys for Life’

Columbia Pictures has released the first trailer for the 3rd installment of the action/comedy which hits North American theaters January 17, 2020. Back in 1995, Michael Bay had his first big hit with “Bad Boys,” an action comedy which also returned producers Jerry Bruckheimer and Don Simpson to the big-budget, high-violence movies that they successfully churned out in the ’80s.

Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) played two Miami cops who set off on the trail of a French drug lord.

The pairing of Lawrence and Smith generated a winning comic chemistry and a sequel followed in 2003 with the narcotics detectives assigned to a high-tech task force investigating the flow of designer ecstasy in Miami.

This third installment, judging by the trailer, offers the same flood of violence and humor as the duo unite “one last time” when a revenge-seeking bad guy comes looking for them. Also thrown into the mix is a new team of young cops, played by Vanessa Hudgens (“High School Musical”), Alexander Ludwig (“Vikings”).
