Tulare, CA – The 45th annual World Ag Expo; the worlds largest Agriculture Trade Show will attract more than 250,000 people from about 70 countries to its 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space in Tulare, California. His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Ogun State Senator Ibikunle Amosun visited the fair and met with the worlds largest producers of mechanised farming equipment and sustainable agriculture consultants. Gov Amosun discussed his agenda at developing Ogun State’s Agricultural development. During a courtesy visit to the College of Agricultural Science at the California State University, Fresno. Gov. Amosun held a meeting with the Dean of the College, Prof. Charles D. Boyer and discussed partnership with Ogun State as well as cooperation involving research in tropical agriculture, cross training, development of cooperatives to stimulate the Agricultural development of the State. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed that an MOU will be prepared in line with the agreement reached at the meeting.
Former President George W. Bush will headline at the Expo during a special event to raise funds for veterans with opportunities in the agricultural industry. The 2012 expo will feature five-time ACM and CMT award winner Trace Adkins in its 56,000 sq ft indoor entertainment pavilion in a concert to support agricultural education at the local, state at federal level. A similar event last year raised more than $60,000.
New gadgets revealed at the fair include the worlds first automated rotary parlor for high capacity cow milking, polymer enriched chlorides to control road dust, raspberry harvester designed to pick highest quality fruits, innovative table saw that prevents injury to the operator and a high speed tillage machine that prepares seedbeds on the go.
