The traditional wedding between Jazmine Brown and Dr. Kingsley Oladeji was a spectacular rendition of the rich Yoruba Nigerian culture and heritage. The event which held at the Drury Plaza Hotel in Richardson Texas attracted family and friends of the celebrants, some of whom arrived from Africa. Mother of the groom, Yetunde Oladeji is an alumnus of Great Ife and was supported by a large contingent of members of the Dallas branch.
The rich display of traditional apparels extended to the brides family revealing an additional level of cultural immersion. The ceremony was hosted by two MCs known as ‘alagas’, one representing each side of the family. The alagas of the day were both charismatic and added lots of humor. They also acted as ‘set directors’ ensuring that all processes were followed to ensure a successful and fulfilled outcome. Congratulations to the newly wed.
