DFW International Dinner with Nine Mayors

DALLAS – The keynote address by Mayor Tom Leppert of Dallas further emphasised the attributes of diversity at achieving economic and growth stability. The 2nd annual dinner with Mayors organized by the DFW Community International alliance was truly a physical testimony to the beauty of diversity.

More than 20 nations were represented by their citizens who reside in North Texas. The parade of Nations with each representative briefly introducing their country further proved that Dallas Fort Worth was the new portal for community alliance. The show of love and human respect was demonstrated during the breaking of the Ramadam fast just before dinner commenced.

Mayors in attendance include Joe Chow Mayor of Addison, Ron Branson; Carollton, Herb Gears;Irving, Dr. Carrie Gordon; Balch springs, David Green; Duncanville, John Harper; Rowlett, Ron Jones; Garland and Gary Slagel; Richardson. The state was represented by Angie Chen Button.

Much more fun activities during the dinner such as door prizes, raffles and surprise gifts placed under a chair on each table contributed to the excitement of the evening. The dinner itself consisted of unique menus from countries such as Philippines, Morocco, Mexico, Sierra Leone, India, Iraq and Thailand.

DFW International Community Alliance is the portal to international North Texas with a network of over 1600 internationally focused organizations in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex.
