The second edition of the tough and reliable Ford Ranger Odyssey in-market special event held on the grounds  of the ultra-modern Coscharis Motors facility on the Lekki Peninsula axis in Lagos. Coscharis Group Managing Director Mr. Josiah Samuel described Ford Ranger Odyssey as an extremely tough adventurous expedition and not a ‘race or rally’. The Odyssey is designed to test participants 4×4 driving and mechanical skills, endurance, stamina, perseverance and resilience against the worst that nature has to offer.

Mr. Josiah Samuel explained further that the Odyssey is a brand that will appeal to the authentic, adventurous, outgoing, free-spirited, as well as the hard-working, the professional and the bold individual. The main emphasis of Odyssey will focus more toward testing human endurance and adaptability combined with the fierce ruggedness that comes with the Ford Ranger brand.

Building on the huge success of the 2014 in-market Ford Ranger Odyssey, the 2015 event was a unique and exciting 4×4 challenge as Nigeria now has four slots as against one slot in 2014. Of the 12 participants that tested the “Built Ford Tough” Ranger, three adrenaline infused individuals came out tops; Ugochukwu Onuiri, Winner; Moyosore Fawole, 1st Runner-Up; John Amadi, 2nd Runner-Up. They will be representing Nigeria at a boot camp in South Africa.

Last year, Coscharis Motors hosted the first ever Ranger Odyssey in-market event to select Nigeria’s representative to the Ranger Odyssey Africa 2014 event. Mr. Chinonso Okezuo was the winner of the 2014 edition but could not attend the African finale of the Ranger Odyssey in Namibia owing to a travel ban on travelers from Nigeria in the wake of the Ebola crisis at the time. Due to Mr. Okezuo’s disenfranchisement from attending last year’s finale, one of this year’s four tickets has been automatically reserved for him. The main emphasis of Odyssey will focus more toward testing human endurance and adaptability combined with the fierce ruggedness that comes with the Ford Ranger brand.
