In a remarkable visit, Agbeyewa Farms, Nigeria’s largest cassava farm, hosted senior leaders from the various portfolio companies of Cavista Holdings during their 2025 mid-year leadership retreat holding at Ikogosi Warm Springs and Resort Conference Centre.
The working visit, which took place across the Ipao, Gede, and Iyemero farm sites in Ekiti State, brought together leaders from Cavista Technologies Nigeria, Payzeep, Cavista Technologies Botswana, and Glocient Hospitality, operators of the renowned Ikogosi Warm Springs Resort.

The delegation, led by Tom “BabaWande” Codd, Chief Operating Officer of Axxess, and comprising General Managers from all Cavista portfolio companies, was warmly welcomed at the Ipao farm by Mr. Oska Seyi Aiyeleso, Managing Director/CEO of Agbeyewa Farms. His opening remarks set the tone for a day of learning, inspiration, and strategic engagement.
The tour commenced with a vibrant parade by NYSC members posted to the farm, followed by an interactive session at the exhibition stand. Here, the General Manager Farm Operations, Babatunde Akinsinde, showcased different cassava varieties and demonstrated best agronomic practices, yield optimization techniques, and sustainable farming innovations being implemented.

The delegation also visited the farm’s engineering workshop, where they observed an impressive array of mechanization equipment and implements. The MD/CEO then led a comprehensive walkthrough of the farms, providing in-depth explanations of cultivation processes, operational strategies, and long-term growth plans.
Speaking on Agbeyewa’s vision, Oska revealed that the company is on track to cultivate over 5,000 hectares of cassava by the end of the 2025 planting season. He emphasized that large-scale mechanization—from advanced land preparation to precision planting and harvesting — is a critical driver in achieving these targets efficiently and sustainably.
Paying glowing tribute to Cavista Holdings’ Chairman, Mr. John Olajide, and the leadership team for their unwavering investment in Agbeyewa Farms, Oska noted, “With this level of commitment, the potential for Agbeyewa’s success knows no bounds.” He described the Chairman’s unwavering belief in the promise of Nigeria’s cassava revolution as the driving force behind Agbeyewa Farms’ success.

The delegation was visibly impressed by the remarkable scope and quality of work being carried out by the Agbeyewa team, lauding the integration of modern mechanisation, innovative farming techniques, and dedicated leadership that together position the farm as a benchmark for excellence.
The highlight of the day was treating the entire team to sumptuous meals of Pounded Yam and Bush meat at the Agbeyewa “Glocient” spot located within farm B. The visit not only strengthened bonds within Cavista Holdings’ diverse portfolio but also reinforced Agbeyewa Farms’ role as a model for modern, large-scale, and sustainable agriculture in Africa.
