The recently concluded Cavista Holdings Global Leadership Retreat at the iconic Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort and Conference Centre was more than an annual gathering—it was a convergence of purpose, vision, and global leadership excellence.
While it marked our traditional leadership assemblage, this year’s edition stood distinctly apart. It brought together leaders not only from Nigeria but from over 5 countries where Cavista Holdings has established deep and formidable corporate roots. The diversity of cultures, experiences, and perspectives transformed the retreat into a truly global leadership symposium.
At the helm was our humble corporate enigma, John Olajide, Chairman of Cavista Holdings—an extraordinary leader whose quiet confidence, strategic depth, and human-centered leadership continue to define excellence. He was joined by Thomas Codd, Chief Operating Officer and Chief People Officer of Axxess, USA—the parent company where John Olajide serves with distinction as President and Chief Executive Officer. Together, they embodied leadership that is visionary yet grounded, powerful yet profoundly humane.
Without question, the retreat was exceptional and deeply enriching. It was a privilege to participate in such a thoughtfully curated experience, one designed not just to inform, but to transform.
The sessions on Leadership, Culture, Capacity, and Results were masterfully delivered and profoundly impactful. They stretched our thinking, sharpened our strategic lenses, and reinforced a timeless truth: sustainable results emerge when leadership is intentional, culture is deliberately lived, and capacity is relentlessly strengthened. Every discussion challenged complacency and reignited our collective responsibility to lead with trust, clarity, courage, and consistency.
Every detail of the retreat reflected intentionality—carefully planned, professionally executed, and anchored in a genuine commitment to creating a memorable and meaningful experience for every leader present.
To my colleagues from Nigeria, the USA, India, Botswana, and across our global footprint, thank you for your unwavering commitment to building a corporate legacy that will endure: one rooted in transparent leadership, shared values, and thoughtfully cultivated cultural energy. The collaboration, shared insights, and reflective conversations amplified the impact of the retreat and reaffirmed the strength of the leadership culture we are building together.
I departed Ikogosi inspired, better equipped, and more resolute—ready to translate learning into action and vision into results within the Cavista ecosystem, particularly Agbeyewa Farms.
The welcome reception and the refreshing closing celebration added unforgettable colour to the experience. They created moments of connection and joy that will linger long after the retreat. Special appreciation goes to the Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort and Conference Centre team for their exceptional hospitality. The serene environment was world-class, the cuisine remarkable, and the service—delivered with warmth, professionalism, and grace—was nothing short of extraordinary. It was, without exaggeration, an experience of hospitality at its finest.
