Ava DuVernay, Colman Domingo, Quinta Brunson and Regina Hall are just some of the celebrities who will present at the 31st annual Critics Choice Awards. Hosted by Chelsea Handler, the star-studded show will be broadcast live on E! and USA Network on Sunday, January 4.

Honoring the best in cinematic, televised, and streaming achievement, and as previously reported, “Sinners” leads the Critics Choice Awards film contenders with an impressive 17 nominations with “One Battle After Another” following closely behind “Sinners,” earning 14 nominations. The Netflix series “Adolescence” leads this year’s television nominees with six nominations and “Nobody Wants This” was also one of the top-nominated TV contenders, earning five nominations.
DuVernay’s film credits include “Middle of Nowhere” and the award winning “Selma,” which starred Nigerian actor David Oyelowo as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The duo are reuniting for a new thriller called “Heist of Benin” with Oyelowo starring in the film about the recovery of the Benin Bronze statues.
