Former Dallas Cowboy Drew Pearson gets his own talk show

Dallas – Not just another “talking heads” sports show, the new sports and lifestyle TV show “The Drew Pearson Show” recently made its debut on FOX Sports. The beloved former Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl winner – “The Original 88” – anchors the show with co-hosts Paul Salfen and Kristen Keith.

Pearson is known for a string of impressive accolades and awards during his entire career with the Dallas Cowboys and is now a well-known sportscaster while Salfen is an editor for the sports magazine ScoreBoard as well as lifestyle site Flavorpill. Keith found her niche in broadcast journalism in college, working with ESPN and CST.

“The Drew Pearson Show” of course covers sports, but there is a lifestyle element that sets it apart. From film to music to food to cars, no there is a wide variety of original content. The first few guests included five-time Super Bowl champion Charles Haley, as well as Kool & The Gang’s Sir Earl Toon, Machete actor Billy Blair, “Friday Night Lights” star Drew Waters and “American Idol” and “Celebrity Rehab” personality and singer Nikki Mckibbin.

The local ties to the in-studio guests make them prime subjects, but there is also a national element with Salfen interviewing international stars like Michael Pena and Natalie Martinez for End of Watch and Tim Burton, Winona Ryder and Oscar winner Martin Landau for Frankenweenie and the creators of hot films Sinister and Paranormal Activity 4.

The show’s location changes every week and ranges from restaurants to car dealerships to sports stadiums. Fans are encouraged to view the free taping and meet Pearson and crew, while giving the show a live energy missing from pre-taped programs.

“You can get a bunch of guys sitting around talking about sports anywhere, so on ‘The Drew Pearson Show’ we like to talk about more than just sports.” – Drew Pearson, “The Original 88”

“The Drew Pearson Show” airs every Friday morning on FOX Sports at 7am. Check your local listings and DrewPearsonShow.com for updates.
