New York – On Valentine’s Day, February 14th, fashion designer Babatunde Ajiboye presents “Bitches with Balls,” a fashion event featuring his collection “Old Love, New Love, No Love” at Von in NoHo. The event will run from 7-9PM, with the fashion presentation beginning at 8PM. Admission is free and will include an open bar. The event is sponsored by Bulldog London Dry Gin and is made possible by chashama.
This multimedia Valentine’s Day event offers an eclectic fashion statement in an intimate setting. Guests will get an up close and personal experience of the transformation that comes into play with the laces, leather, and prints used in the designs. It tells a story of love and metamorphosis through a series of ensembles accompanied by a soundtrack specially selected by the designer.
Ajiboye is a Nigerian born, New York City based designer whose work incorporates a crosspollination of his African roots with contemporary European couture. The collection “Old Love, New Love, No Love” provocatively ponders the question of sexual identity in female fashion. It’s not what you think.
Von Bar is located at 3 Bleecker Street at Bowery in New York. Production design for the event is by Mandeep Ad-mospheric (illuminating ideas) with DJ Jorge Serra, hair styles by Tony’s Beauty Box, and makeup by Valissa Yoe.
