Reports have indicated that Dr. Umaru Mutallab had warned the United States six months ago that his son was becoming a danger. 
Dr.Umaru Mutallab is the former chairman of First Bank, current Chairman of Nigeria’s first Islamic Bank; Jaiz International Plc and father of alleged terrorist Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab who tried to blow up Northwest Airlines Flight 235 over Detroit, Michigan on Christmas Day.
