Announced this morning at the Beverly Hills headquarters of the Academy of Motion Pictures by actress Anne Hathaway, other nominees include: Sandra Bullock who was nominated as best actress for her role in the movie “The Blind Side”, Helen Mirren for “The Last Station”, Meryl Streep for “Julie & Julia” and a best actor nomination for Morgan Freeman for his performance in “Invictus”.

Despite being tipped as a contender for his role in the war flick “The Hurt Locker”, a movie which snagged nine nominations, actor Anthony Mackie failed to garner a nomination for his astounding performance as an American war hero in the Iraq War drama.
