Ethiopian Airline supports MENA

Ethiopian Airline, one of the leading African airlines has put in place plans to support the hosting of the first of its kind, the Miss Entrepreneur AFRICA (MENA) contest, an empowerment initiative in search of young African women between the ages of 18 to 30 with innovative and viable entrepreneurial business plan that would create employment and contribute to the economic development and eradication of poverty in the continent. It is slated for July 11, 2013 in Lagos.

According to Entertainment network consult, organizers of the contest, the goal of the contest  is to create a platform to discover, groom and to empower the Nigerian and young African women to become an entrepreneur, employer of labour, a role model by imbibing the culture of self-employment amongst young women in our communities.

The Airline will serve as the official   carrier of contestants and officials around African continent and beyond throughout the duration of the event. The airline is noted for its efficient and customer friendly service across the globe. MENA is an entrepreneurial contest for young African women who dream to own their own businesses.

Mr. Willie Workman-Oga, CEO, Entertainment Konzult Ltd owners of the trademark (MENA) explained that the initiative is to foster cultural gender integration in Africa, pointing out that contestants from all over Africa are expected to jostle for the crown while registration starts in January 20th 2013. .

The winner of the contest will go home with a cash prize of $12,000.00 as startup capital for her business, while the first and second runners up will be rewarded with $6,000.00 and $3,000.00 respectively. All the trio will equally undergo an entrepreneurial online course each in a world class school of entrepreneurial studies.
