Dallas – My phone rings and the gentle but assertive voice of Joke Alausa comes on; “Hello Tosan, the Limo driver is here. How far are you…?” Extensive road construction in Dallas has set me behind the clock about 10 mins but I am assured that nothing will go on till I get there. The ploy is simple. The Hummer L2 Limo driver will knock on the door and ask for the celebrant; Pastor (Dr.) Omiwade. The driver explains that he is sent to chauffeur him to an undisclosed destination. Meanwhile, Bosfem (Video) and myself are literally shielded between flower beds trying hard not to miss the elements of surprise. I guess we did just that.
Pastor (Dr.) Oladapo Omiwade
Its the 50th birthday of Pastor Dapo Omiwade who looks everything but his age. A spiritually filled gentleman, he later explains that God revealed earlier that morning an expectation of “decoration”. Playing by the script, the celebrant and his immediate family embarked on the 25 mins drive to the RCCG Lion of Judah parish, Addison Texas which served as the venue of the thanksgiving service while the Grand Hotel Dallas held sway for the simple but classy reception event spiced up with dishes from the stable of Tonia Afolabi, music by DJ Kebe and comedy by Alabash.
