“It’s one of these situations where Tony got his hand caught in the cookie jar and has basically created this monster that cannot be controlled,”’ says Cheadle. The story kicks off when Tony (Downey Jr.) jumpstarts a dormant peacekeeping program. Things go awry and when the evil killer robot who can self replicate threatens to destroy the world, forcing earth’s mightiest heroes; Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, aka ‘the Super Hero dream team’ to unite to protect the world from the greatest threat mankind has ever seen.

“Tony’s action puts Rhodey in a tricky spot because he’s always trying to bridge this relationship that he has between his service to the military and being a good friend to Tony. All of their interests should be aligned, but they aren’t; they don’t get to the goal in the same way. So I think that’s what Rhodey is always trying to navigate. How do I stay within the confines of my military ranking and what am I supposed to do to be part of The Avengers team?”’ shares the Academy Award nominee.

With a massive amount of visual effects, mass destruction and mayhem, director Joss Whedon manages to pull together a sequel that is fast, funny and furious. There is great camaraderie as the world’s favorite super heroes joke around with one another in the summer blockbuster, which is based on the popular Marvel comic book series first published in 1963.
