Dallas Super Mom celebrates son’s triple graduation
For Mrs. Yetunde Odeyemi Oladeji, the years of sacrifice, toiling, fasting and prayers to ensure hers sons successful educational pursuit had reached a remarkable climax and was worthy of thanksgiving and celebration. Below is a beautifully written text by Pastor O.J Kuye that captures the amazing feat of the Oladeji family.
CELEBRATION OF EXCELLENCE CONTINUES IN GRAND STYLE! 6/17/18
I am Excited and grateful to God for the opportunity to celebrate the great achievements of three of our smartest and disciplined children; Dr Kingsley Anu Oladeji, MD; Dr Phillip Kayode Oladeji, MD and Engineer Josh Olatokunbo Oladeji.
Kingsley and Phillip graduated as medical doctors from University of Texas, Southwest Medical School, Dallas while their kid brother, Josh, finished his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Texas, Arlington TX. What an achievement from three siblings! So proud of the high achievements of these disciplined and focused young men and especially their mum, Yetunde, a very good and old friend, who gave everything and made all sacrifice to see these young men through their professional education. I am so proud of her.
It’s a wonderful feeling for me personally, because their grandfather, Yetunde’s Dad, Professor Odeyemi, a retired Mathematics Professor was my High School principal, wrote and signed my testimonial; out of High School, with which I got my first job in 1978.
Kingsley is proceeding to Stanford, CA for his residency program as an orthopedic surgeon while Phillip proceeds to Emory, Atlanta for his residency as well. Josh is starting his engineering career. Their mum hosted this Thanksgiving Reception to thank God for seeing them through and to appreciate all friends and families that supported their vision actualization.
Their Uncle, Brother Robert used to bring them to the Children’s church, in those days. In attendance were other alumnus of our great alma mata, University of Ife, now OAU where we all graduated with Yetunde, their proud mum back in the days.
We pray for God’s grace and guidance for these exceptional young men in their professional career progression. They have become excellent role models for our young children and I have invited them to come back and speak to our Youth in the church. No doubt, these young men have made us exceptionally proud in our community and they are set to make our dear nation, America great like us, their parents by contributing their very best to this nation. Please help me to celebrate these illustrious children of Africa and America, Drs Kingsley, Phillip and Engineer Josh and their committed Mum, Mrs. Yetunde Oladeji for making us all proud. Blessings!
