Dallas – A reception in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Consular Corps of Dallas-Fort Worth held at the Dallas Museum of Art. Guest of honor at the occasion included Michael S. Rawlings, Mayor of Dallas and Paula Caldwell St-Onge; Dean of the Consular Corps of Dallas-Fort Worth and Consul General of Canada. The occasion also included a special reception hosted at the Crow Collection of Asian Art.
The Dallas/ Fort Worth region’s strengths in international business abound. One key component of DFW’s international strength is the Dallas/Fort Worth Consular Corps, comprised of foreign consulate and trade offices. The Consular Corps provides unique direct access to high-level foreign dignitaries and business contacts.

The Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) was founded in 1903. In 1984 the Museum moved into its current location, the 370,000-square-foot Edward Larrabee Barnes-designed building, as the first arts organization in the newly designated Arts District. The Crow Collection founded by Trammell and Margaret Crow is a permanent set of galleries dedicated to the arts and cultures of China, Japan, India and Southeast Asia. The Crow’s bought their first piece of Asian art in the mid-1960s, and from that initial purchase has evolved into a distinguished collection featuring pieces from China, Japan, India and Southeastern Asia, spanning 3500 B.C. to the early 20th century. The Trammell and Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art opened to the general public as a permanent museum in December 1998. The museum offers a serene setting for quiet reflection and learning.
