Dallas – The City of Dallas announces a partnership with Trendy Africa magazine and Masije Oil & Integrated Services (Premiere Sponsor) for the 2016 Dallas International Fashion Show. The event will bring the runway experience of fashion markets directly to the public at the Dallas Music Hall in Fair Park on Sunday, Sept. 4 at 5 p.m. The Dallas International Fashion Show offers attendees an experience, usually reserved for fashion industry insiders attending fashion markets, the chance to preview the future of fashion up close.
This unique fashion show and industry party will offer the public an exclusive first look at the newest fashions presented by regional, national and international fashion designers. Designers from around the globe will showcase collections featuring fashions inspired by East African Giraffes, beautiful cultural dances of India and the sensational drum beats of West Africa and more.
“We are extremely excited to be a partner in bringing the 2016 Dallas International Fashion Show to the public, and we are thrilled to be launching it in conjunction with Timalechi Nursery School of Malawi, East Africa, in their efforts to bring clean indoor running water to the facility for the children in that community,” said Regina Hill Onyeibe, Africa Liaison for the City of Dallas.
Globally recognized ethnic wear designer, Ruby Bandar of Silk Threads will be showcasing her Fall 2016 Fusion Collection on the runway, and Tekay Designs of Liberia are two of the many talented designers who will be making personal and collection appearances.
