2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards attracts the genre biggest names

From Snoop Dogg, French Montana, Lil’ Mama, T.I. to Latifah, several celebs flew in to Atlanta to celebrate BET’s annual music show. Hosted by Snoop Dogg and held at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center, the show celebrated the biggest names in the game with nine performances (including T.I.) and five cyphers.

Hip-hop connoisseur Doug E. Fresh received the “I Am Hip Hop Icon” award which he dedicated to his late mother and the show featured a tribute to Michael Brown, the young black man who was fatally shot by a white police officer in Missouri, by Common, Jay Electronica and Vince Staples. The show will air on Tuesday, October 14, at 8 p.m. ET and also on Friday, October 17, 2014 on BET’s international network in the UK and Africa.
